“Mike Sorrentino“ is hit back with the counter-suit from Devotion Vodka!
Several months passed by after Mike Sorrentino “The Situation” filled a lawsuit against Devotion Spirits, alcohol company famous for their protein-infused vodka. And now he is faced with a counter-suit, which was timely reported by the TMZ.
Devotion Spirits said that it’s Mike Sorrentino who neglected their contract and violated the deal. So they are hitting him back with a counter-suit. “Mike Sorrentino” is back …
Devotion Spirits claims that Mike Sorrentino “The Situation” was having serious drug problems back then. Mike was forced to enter a rehab earlier this year, because of the problems with alcohol and prescription drugs. They also claim that Mike was often late for events and there were cases when he was asking investors for marijuana. One particular case was especially interesting – last year in New Jersey there was another event, at which Mike Sorrentino locked himself in a bathroom and didn’t come out for quite a while.
When Mike finally opened the bathroom he was sniffing, and later security personnel were able to find powder similar to cocaine. Confronted with this news, Mike’s team denied everything.
In addition, Mike refused to participate in Devotion Vodka events and take part in the interviews, which were so important for the company. He also demanded perks for his friends frequently.
In his report Mike claims that he received 8% of the shares, but they still need to give him additional 2%, as well as the option (worth $400,000) of buying back his shares and sales reports. He really thinks that the brand was so successful because of his name and he also states that Devotion Vodka always found excuses to avoid the payment.
Mike Sorrentino is suing the company for full 10% share, which is equivalent of $5 million, he says. This also includes “other damages”.
Devotion Spirits weren’t afraid and they said the contract was already terminated in March, 2012. And now they are suing him back for unspecified damages.
This news come just 1 month after the terrible Hurricane Sandy hit the shores and washed away very famous boardwalk, which held some of the show’s great moments on MTV. Jersey Shores show was first aired in 2009, filming a group of Italian-Americans in their twenties partying on the beaches of New Jersey. It was a big hit and its stars became incredibly popular overnight.

However, Mike Sorrentino recently went out of rehab and said that Devotion Vodka broke the deal and they didn’t pay the money they agreed on. That’s why he sued the company for $5 million.
